Job Title: Innovative Learning Coach

 

FLSA Status: Exempt Classification: Certified

 

Reports to: Innovative Learning Specialist

 

Summary

The Innovative Learning Coach (ILC) collaborates with teachers and administrators to effectively integrate technology, creating engaging and evidence-based learning experiences focused on mastering content, developing durable skills, and fostering essential attributes. The ILC is responsible for training all licensed professionals, administrators, and instructional assistants in instructional technology while also working directly with students to enhance their understanding of the current technologies and programs offered by PCPS. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of K-12 instructional practices, principles, and techniques of instructional technology, as well as project planning and current and emerging trends in the field. They should possess the ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, be self-motivated, and demonstrate a commitment to helping teachers improve their technology skills. A genuine enthusiasm for supporting others in their professional growth is essential.

Qualifications

Must possess the qualities and personal characteristics essential for building strong, collaborative relationships with students, parents, teachers, and administrators. This includes empathy, active listening, clear communication, adaptability, and a solution-oriented mindset, all of which contribute to a positive and productive educational environment. Understands the importance of empowering others with knowledge to transform instruction within individual classrooms.

 

Education and/or Experience

Hold a Collegiate Professional License.

Have at least three years of teaching experience.

Must be fluent in Google products, assessment platforms, learning management systems, and other core software and technologies. 

Preferred: Instructional coaching experience; Masters Degree in Curriculum & Instruction

 

Language Skills

Is articulate and able to adapt communication and presentation styles to effectively engage all stakeholders, including administrators, teachers, parents, professional colleagues, and students.

 

Reasoning/Other Abilities

Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of school staff.

Possesses a commitment to continuously updating personal knowledge of cutting-edge technology and selecting advancements that will enhance instruction and student learning.
